Journal
The Journal, our quarterly magazine, included within our modest membership cost was regarded as the most valuable asset when our members were asked what was the greatest benefit of being a member of The Gentry Register.

The Gentry Journal, initially known as Replicar, traces its history to the early years of the club, shortly after the first Gentry prototype was completed in 1973. The name was later changed to reflect that "The Gentry Journal" was considered more unique and suitable to the marque. The magazine is universally regarded as the lifeline of the Gentry Register and consistently represents the club's greatest financial outlay.

The publication is considered the most important part of membership primarily because it serves as a comprehensive resource built on articles, technical tips, photos, and news supplied by the members themselves. These contributions cover essential ownership information, detailing topics such as engine transplants, gearbox extensions, fitting specific wheels, and documenting members' build stories, problems, fixes, and adventures.

The quality of the publication has improved over the years, moving to feature color covers for roughly the same price as monochrome issues. The Journal serves as a crucial communication tool, constantly requiring member input to fill its pages and avoid becoming a simple newssheet. The collected issues form a treasure trove of information. Furthermore, a CD containing the archives of the first 171 Journals is available, ensuring members have access to this accumulated knowledge. Members value the tradition of receiving a hard copy, with some explicitly stating they would not want it replaced solely by computer access.

Members can also 'Ask Gentry' which will trawl all Journals to answer a question.

Members have access to the content of the first magazine, along with many other brochures, guides and manuals.
